PNS (Para Nasal Sinus) X-rays are also referred to as sinus X-rays. The procedure is painless and safe, and it visualises the paranasal sinuses as well as the surrounding soft tissues. A sinus X-ray assists doctors in detecting sinus problems. Sinuses are normally filled with air, so the passages on an X-ray of healthy sinuses will appear black.
